Here’s an interesting exchange between Gawker’s Ryan Tate and Steve Jobs. Technical blah blah aside, it doesn’t surprise me that the Apple honcho trots out the old “virtuous industrialist” garbage at the end of the conversation, or that he fails to recognize the value in criticizing the powerful and the hypocritical. That should be expected from a powerful corporate head like Jobs, regardless of “coolness” factor. I do find it interesting that while Tate states that he doesn’t want “freedom from porn,” that “porn is just fine,” and that his wife would surely agree, there’s no link over to Fleshbot down in Gawker’s footer. If porn is so cool, I wonder why they don’t put that sucker right next to the Jezebel masthead.
